I am inviting you to join me for a new five-day Therapist Training. It is centered on the “HOW” of unraveling the “SURVIVAL KNOT” of couples. I will be working in-vivo with a couple in a fishbowl setting.

On November 12-16, 2017, I launched this training in France. I am now bringing it to Israel and South Africa:

  • in Israel, June 3-7, 2018 (in Hebrew)
  • in South Africa, August 15-19, 2018 (in English)

From my experience of many years as a Couples Therapist in my “couples laboratory,” and from my evolution of Encounter-centered Couples Therapy (EcCT), came an original and transformational method for “dissolving” the core issue of a couple.

Participants will witness as I guide one couple, step-by-step, through an intensive journey, into the most treacherous territory of their relationship. I will guide the couple into their “impasse issue,” the “toughest neighborhood” of their relationship, where one person’s anguished desperation meets the other person’s dogged resistance, and vice versa. You can hear me explain this multi-layered process in detail in the podcast that I recently recorded with Neil Sattin. Enjoy!

The theory underlying the concept of a relational “Survival Knot” is based on the assumption that couples know each other’s “war story” at a subconscious level. The crucible of their “power struggle” centers around the unconscious developmental themes that they are wrestling with. The growth potential of the relationship lies in bringing to light the developmental themes that fuel the reactive dynamic and the relational nightmare, and thus systematically unraveling the “Survival Knot.” New creative energy can flow between the couple, in the service of productively designing a creative relationship of choice, rather than one of reactivity and compulsion.

Participants will leave the training with a clear roadmap, and an expanded grasp of the theoretical, clinical, and practical implications of welcoming couples into their deepest intimacies.

I look forward to seeing you in Israel or in South Africa, and helping you develop your expertise in unraveling the “Survival Knot” of your couples.

With Fondest Regards,

PS – Prerequisite: The Training is open to therapists who have previously attended the EcCT or Tikkun Trainings, and/or the Adventure in Intimacy couples workshop.
