“Will there be chances in the new couples workshop to work on our own issues, stories, truths and essences… or is it observing other couples “on stage” and learning the technique of bridging? I’d prefer to be in the “Hot Chair” myself.”
I recently received this question from a couple interested in attending Hedy and Yumi’s “A Couple’s Journey,” their new workshop for couples.
The “Hot Chair” : Yes or No! Here is my answer.
First, watch Gale and Rodger in the “Hot Chair” as they cross the bridge to each other – an intimate skill you will learn that is designed to eliminate the emotional pollution that exists in the “sacred space”of your relationship.
Throughout the workshop, Hedy will do demonstrations with couples. Each couple works on their own relationship using the processes that Hedy and Yumi teach. The couples can also work with the trained therapist assistants who are at the workshop.
So YES, you will have plenty of time to work on your own relationship using the tools that Hedy and Yumi teach. That being said, if you prefer to be in the “Hot Chair” I highly recommend volunteering to work with Hedy in front of the room.
Note that not everyone will get a chance to be in the “Hot Chair”and some couples may not want to be. Nobody is required to speak in front of the group, and confidentiality in the group is mandatory.
Join Hedy and Yumi at one of these upcoming NEW couples workshops called “A Couple’s Journey.”
